MQM IS AGAINST THE POLITICS OF LOOT AND PLUNDER: ALTAF HUSSAIN

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the MQM is against the politics of loot and plunder, and this was made the biggest crime of the MQM. He was speaking at a meeting in the International Secretariat of the MQM in London in which members of the Co-ordination Committee and the visiting office-bearers of North America chapter of the MQM participated.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM did not make claims about the revolution in words only. It was making practical efforts for the revolution of the poor and middle classes in Pakistan.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM was not the party of any particular family, and it belonged to the people of Pakistan. The leadership of the MQM hailed from the middle class that was the backbone of the country.
Mr Hussain said the people of Pakistan were beginning to realize that the MQM was the only political party capable of bringing a real change in the country.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM had given a powerful message to the women of Pakistan to come forward and fight for their rights by holding the historic women public meeting in Karachi. He asked the Pakistani women to reject the elements that had taken away their voting right. He hoped that the women public meeting in Lahore would be equally successful.
Mr Ibad-ur-Rehman briefed Mr Hussain about the organizational activities of the MQM in North America. He also spoke about the restlessness present in the overseas Pakistani community at being disallowed to contest in the elections.
Mr Hussain said that the important role of the overseas Pakistani community in the economic development and progress of the country could not be ignored. He said that the overseas Pakistanis were given the right to vote in the elections due to the efforts of the MQM parliamentarians. He said that the MQM was working to get the right to contest in the elections for the Pakistanis living abroad.
